On the Air: Safe Passage on the Western Mass Business Show

On Thursday, November 14th, 2024, Safe Passage took to the airwaves on WHMP's Business show hosted by Tara Brewster to discuss all the programs we're running here at Safe Passage for survivors of domestic violence and to drum up excitement and support for the 21st annual Hot Chocolate Run.
- Our Executive Director, Marianne Winters, discussed Safe Passage's history of working with survivors as well as the ins and outs of navigating safety in an ever-changing world.
- Karla, our Latinx Counselor/Advocate & Immigration Specialist, spoke at length about her advocacy for survivors of domestic violence as they work through the immigration process.
- Alec, our Volunteer Program Manager, shared their experience working side by side with survivors as they created our second edition of Survival & Beyond: A Survivor Anthology.
- Sami, our Program Assistant/Office Manager, discussed the unique challenges of securing housing for survivors during this housing shortage.
- Natalie, our Director of Development, spoke about the impact the Hot Chocolate Run has on survivors and how the community can get involved to make it the most successful event yet!
